Friday, December 2, treat yourself to a feast of beauty in Elmhurst by participating in the 35th annual Reindeer Route House Walk.  You will not only enjoy the sights of these magnificently decorated homes, but you will be benefitting the Elmhurst Memorial Hospital Guild, because this event is hosted by the Elmhurst Junior Unit of the guild.

The homes you will tour are decorated by local florists who are, naturally, putting their best foot forward.  Tickets are $25, if you pre-purchase them ($30 on the day of the walk) and you can purchase them at various locations around town, such as Pink Elephant Resale Shop, Wild Rose Floral and Gift Shop at Elmhurst Memorial Hospital’s main campus, Carousel Flowers, Phillip’s Flowers & Gifts, and the Uptown Shop.  Several local restaurants are offering specials, so you can make a day (or night) of it in Elmhurst.

We at Gracik Makinney Group encourage you to come and see the beauty that is in Elmhurst, especially at this festive time of the year.  We are proud to donate to this effort every year and also encourage you to do the same by bringing an unwrapped toy to donate to the pediatric patients of Elmhurst Memorial Healthcare.  You can leave the toys at any of the featured homes on the walk.

One of the featured homes is owned by Alison and Pete Dondlinger, friends of ours.  It is located at 508 Stratford Ave. and is decorated by A Stem Above.  We are very excited about the walk at Gracik Makinney Group.  Our group is a donor to this most worthy of causes, and we hope you enjoy the gorgeous homes that are open for your pleasure.  My wife, Sarah Makinney ,and a group of friends will take the earlier tour between 10 am. and 3 pm, but there is also a later time slot between 6 and 9 pm.

When you see these beautiful homes, you may decide Elmhurst is the place for you.  If you want to see what’s available in the DuPage County area, just call me, Tom Makinney, at our home office, (630) 567-5902, or check out my website,
