What’s better than pizza? Pizza for a good cause!

doggie.jpgMark your calendars and hide your scales, on May 8th Elmhurst District 205 Foundation for Excellence will host their 3rd Annual “Top Pizza” Fundraising event in the York High School Commons.  For just $10 per person, you can sample specialty and classic pizza styles from the some of the area’s favorite pizza joints. Who will win Top Pizza? Participating vendors include DiLeo's Pizzeria, Fratello's Pizzeria, Lou Malnati's Pizzeria, Mamma Maria's Restaurant & Pizzeria, Nancy's Pizza, Pazzi di Pizza and Roberto's Ristorante & Pizzeria. Sample them all, and vote on your favorites!

Proceeds from the event go to all public schools in District 205, improving the programs of technology, math, science, social studies, literacy, foreign language, phys-ed, and the arts. Last year’s Top Pizza event brought in more than 350 Elmhurst residents!

Exercise your discerning pizza palate from 5:30 – 7:30 next Thursday night, but before you pack your knives and go home, check out the entertainment of magician Bob James, or stick around for York’s Choral Concert in York Auditorium at 7:30.  Tickets are available online at the District 205 website (linked), or at the door with cash or check.
