Have you seen the trolley chugging through Elmhurst business districts? If so, you’re not dreaming – the Explore Elmhurst trolley is back and will be running weekends through Sept. 18.

The free trolley will run regularly between six stops linking downtown Elmhurst with the Spring Road and York and Vallette business districts. It operates on Fridays from 6 p.m. to midnight, Saturdays from noon to 11:30 p.m., and Sundays noon to 5 p.m.

You don’t need a ticket and the ride is free. Explore Elmhurst signs will mark each stop, all of which are located near parking.

The trolley is handicapped accessible and strollers are welcome as long as they can collapse and fit into the seating area.

Riders will also learn some Elmhurst history as they commute. A recording by Elmhurst resident and voice professional Mimi Black highlights several areas of interest in the city.

As a bonus, Explore Elmhurst is giving away prizes throughout the summer. Riders can pick up ticket booklets on the trolley or at select locations throughout town. Each week, one lucky winner will receive a bundled package of prizes donated by Elmhurst businesses and organizations.

The Explore Elmhurst trolley makes shopping and dining in town easier than ever. We think it’s yet another reason that Elmhurst is such a great place to live. If you want to learn more, give us a call at (630) 441-5570 or visit us at www.gmregroup.com
